About Us

The home of the world’s highest cure rate.

Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia (RCOG) was founded in 1979 by renowned radiation oncologist Dr. Frank Critz. It is a center of excellence in radiation treatment for cancer. We use the latest radiation technology and meticulous research to treat men and women with different types of cancer, including breast, prostate, lung, colon, lymphatic and many others. RCOG is also home to the oldest and most successful prostate seed implant program in existence, a method pioneered by Dr. Critz. We’re proud to say that our treatment for prostate cancer, ProstRcision®, has the world’s highest proven cure rate.

Our story is spreading.

We started with one location in Conyers, Georgia, a quiet suburb of Atlanta. But over the years, we’ve branched out with offices throughout the metro Atlanta area. As we’ve expanded, our reputation has grown as well. RCOG has become one of the country’s top cancer treatment and research facilities, especially in the area of prostate cancer. We have become a destination point for prostate cancer patients, having treated more than 11,000 men for prostate cancer. We have compiled our observations of these men, both before and after treatment, into one of the largest computerized databases on prostate cancer in the U.S. In addition, our doctors have written over 80 peer-reviewed research papers on prostate cancer that have been published or presented at major medical meetings.

Each year, thousands of patients from across the United States and around the globe come to us seeking a cure for their prostate cancer.

The support you need.

Over the years, RCOG has grown into a strong community. And it’s important to know that we offer our patients more than just medical treatment to make them feel better. We know that being diagnosed with cancer can be traumatizing to an individual and his or her family. We have a full-time social worker on staff and support groups available to help our patients cope as they fight cancer.

Treating and teaching.

As part of our Integrated Prostate Health Program (IPHP) current and prospective patients can attend free weekly seminars, held each Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., to learn more about prostate cancer and improve their overall health. At these gatherings, doctors and staff members give lectures and answer questions.

Tuesday lectures
These meetings also allow current patients to socialize and get to know each other, as well as interact with men considering treatment at RCOG. And because so many of our patients become friends, we have an active alumni network that allows former prostate cancer patients to stay in touch with each other. If you’re considering coming to RCOG, you can join our online Forum and discuss your concerns with some of our alumni. To find our more about our web-based prostate cancer network, click here.

Insurance coverage and payment options.

RCOG is registered with most major insurance providers, and we accept Medicare. We also work with the Georgia Department of Human Resources Cancer State Aid Treatment Program. Even if you’re not eligible for insurance or this state program, we will render care regardless of your economic condition. We will be glad to discuss your insurance and financial options; just click here to contact us.
